It's a border collie thing.

These pictures are stunning, and obviously not taken with that Canon. In the last one, Lyra looks like she should be wearing a tutu -- any chance of you photoshopping in a nice frilly pink one?

Where is the first picture taken? Is it Stara Fuzina?

You're right, they weren't taken with that Canon, because my daughter has commandeered it and I have yet to take a single photo with it. :( Well, at least she's getting a lot of use out of it. The pictures weren't taken by me, either--various photographers on various outings with various cameras (please don't ask me for technical details, I'm clueless).

The first one was taken in summer 2005 in, I believe, Vrata (Julian Alps, near Dovje-Mojstrana). We were away in the US and Lyra was in the care of some friends, who took her all kinds of exciting places. They also took the next one, looks to me like it could be the hut on Golica, in the Karavanke range. Have to ask. The next one was taken by an aussie-owning friend on a mini hike we took together in the Polhovgrajski hills, north of Goricane (near Medvode), in December of 2006 (we'd gone up to see her aussie's puppies). The next two were taken by another aussie-owning friend (she and her dog--which you can see in the photo--are members of an elite Slovenian international SAR(search and rescue) team), on Bohinj Lake.

I will work on the photoshopping aspect, with tutus and text balloons. Good idea.
