No it's not--it's a St. Bernard!

Anyway, most of the dogs were Australian shepherds, not border collies (see February 6 posting for more). I guess I should change the name of my blog to reflect that.

That's an Airedale sitting in the middle of the trail or I'm a monkey's uncle! (There is a St. Bernard too, of course).

It IS an Airedale ("Lucky"), and he belongs to Iztok, the photographer, who also has an Australian shepherd ("Bloo"). Lucky competes quite successfully in agility.

So you're not a monkey's uncle, but you ARE descended from apes, just like the rest of us. Except I guess the 52% if Americans who reject the theory of evolution. Not sure where they came from.
